Beautiful secluded home on Lake Koshkonong in Edgerton, WI There are several things we pride ourselves about our vacation home, and feel like we do better than others, and certainly things you wouldn't find in a hotel: Waterfront: Lake Koshkonong is a 10,000 acre lake and is great for swimming, fishing, boating, water skiing, or any other recreational water activities. We are right on the lake with over 40' of waterfront. We have a brand new 30 foot aluminum pier to dock your boat at or swim from. We also have two 10' kayaks available for guests to use. We have steps down to the lake and a spacious beach area. It's not pure sand so shoes are recommended. Comfy beds: We use our vacation home too, so we want it to be as nice and comfortable as our home. You'll find some owners or people managing the property have never slept in the beds of their properties. We've stayed in our lakehouse, just to make sure there aren't any weird annoyances or uncomfortable issues. Like the light from the window that perfectly blinds you as the sun rises.. Each bed has a fluffy down comforter, 1200 thread count sheets, and four pillows. There are a total of 4 bedrooms. 3 Queens, 1 Full, 4 Twins, 1 sofa. Full kitchen: We have a fully stocked kitchen. Full service, glasses, plates, silverware, mugs, bowls. We have pots, pans, serving utensils, a blender, toasters and appliances if you feel like cooking during your stay. This roomy house is located right on the shore of Lake Koshkonong. It has a wonderful pier to hang out on or tie boats to. It's a sandy walk into the lake and has views that will take your breath away. There are 2 bedrooms; it has a nice sized master bedroom with a window seat overlooking the lake, and the second bedroom is the entire upper level with 4 beds and still plenty of room. There are two large full bathrooms. The kitchen is fully stocked and with this very open floor plan, you can have a great view of the lake while in the kitchen. The view from the dining room table is the same great view that the kitchen has. There is an inviting living room with a fireplace and also a family room, so that your family and friends can spread out. Both are located at the back of the house for the most spectacular view of the lake. You can use the grill on the large deck to get your party started, or grab the paddle boat and a tasty beverage and enjoy the smooth quiet enjoyment of the lake. You'll have to use one of the many public boat launches, but most have free parking. We have four kayaks available for use as well. The Rock River is connected and able to be driven by boat to Lake Koshkonong. Lake Koshkonong is a 10,000 acre lake and is great for boating, water skiing, or any other recreational water activities. Comfy beds: We use our vacation home too, so we want it to be as nice and comfortable as our home. You'll find some owners or people managing the property have never slept in the beds of their properties. We've stayed in each bedroom, just to make sure there aren't any weird annoyances or uncomfortable issues. You know, like the light from the window that perfectly blinds you as the sun rises.. Each bed has a fluffy down comforter, 1200 thread count sheets, and four pillows. There are a total of 6 bedrooms. 1 King, 5 Queens, 2 twins. Two Queen Air mattresses, and two sofas. Full kitchen: We have a fully stocked kitchen. Full service, glasses, plates, silverware, mugs, bowls. We have enough place settings for large groups. We have pots, pans, serving utensils, a blender, toasters and appliances if you feel like cooking during your stay. Sitting on the pier or deck and just enjoying nature and the sound of the water is wonderful. We have five bedrooms and a ton of beds, so you are welcome to bring your family and friends to enjoy it with you! We do not allow parties or events. We respect our neighbors and our neighborhood. But, recent updates are numerous, including: - New kitchen appliances (color-coordianted Viking stove, hidden Miele dishwasher, and large refrigerator) - New shower and bathroom fixtures - New beds & mattresses - Air conditioning - Rowboat, canoe, and Pontoon Boat - New swim platform - New flat-screen tv, hidden behind old painting (see pic’s) - Landscaping, including native prairie garden along the shoreline, apple & pear orchard, and birch forest along the back of the cabin Other positive attributes include - Closest city is Cambridge: a quintessential American small-town main street, with pottery/arts community, with several good restaurants & nice coffee-shop & ice cream - Madison is a short drive away - You can bring your own boat - CamRock trail system – great for hiking & mountain biking (and skiing in the winter, but you need to find different accommodations if that’s your plan). About the lake: - Fast boating only allowed between 11:00 am to 7:30 pm (although mostly concentrated on weekends). Other times reserved for those with a slower pace (kayaks, swimmers, fishing). - Swim platform and floating toys, for kids & young-at-heart - Open-water swimming, for those looking for a workout (Ironmen?) - Wonderful public park/beach, with big sand beach, playground, tennis, etc. - Good fishing; state-record bass was caught at this lake *** Everyone in your party must know how to swim ***
